In March/April the Radio and Television Commission together with the Media Support Foundation held the annual contest “Pragiedruliai“ for the best radio and television culture programme of 2011. This year the contest celebrated its 10th anniversary. Traditionally, a commission, which was comprised of eleven famous Lithuanian culture representatives, evaluated the programmes. The evaluation commission chose five best works and five special category ones out of 52 submitted for the contest. The winners were awarded with diplomas, authentic prizes and bonuses.

The idea of the contest is to encourage audiovisual production focusing on culture values and to promote programmes for children.
