In September 2009 the LR Ministry of Culture prepared a Draft Edition of the Law on Provision of Information to the Public and presented it to the public for harmonization. The main aim of the draft edition was the transposition of the AVMS directive into the national law and the implementation of its provisions thereof.

In May 2009 the Government of the Republic of Lithuania adopted a Resolution, which approved a plan for 2009 – 2013 on the Lithuanian cultural heritage digitization, strategy of digital content preservation and accessibility, and the strategy implementation tools thereof.

The LR Law on Funding of Political Parties and Political Campaigns, and Control of Funding foresees, that political advertising and its sources of funding shall be marked and adequately separated from the rest of the disseminated information.
