The Law on Provision of Information to the Public Came into Force
October 21, 2010
The amendments of the Law on Provision of Information to the Public, which transpose the EU Audiovisual Media Service Directive, came into force on the 18th of October 2010.
The new provisions include the regulation of on-demand services, new requirements for advertising, product placement, etc.
The Radio and Television Commission of Lithuania is obligated to draft the necessary by-laws, which would help to facilitate the implementation of the Law.
The English version of the Law is not unfortunately available yet.
