The Radio and Television Commission of Lithuania (LRTK) has confirmed the results of a tender for the right to broadcast a radio programme on the 88.9 MHz frequency in Šilutė.

Two applicants took part in the tender:

• UAB “RADIJO STOTIS LALUNA” with the programme “Laluna”;
• Public Institution “Šou imperija” with the programme “Tauragės radijas.”

When evaluating the applications, the Commission considered the broadcasters’ experience, proposed programming, programme structure, and content concepts.

Following the assessment, UAB “RADIJO STOTIS LALUNA” was selected as the winner of the tender.

As a result, the “Laluna” radio programme will begin broadcasting in Šilutė on 88.9 MHz, giving local listeners access to the station’s content through a terrestrial analogue radio service.

The licence also grants the broadcaster the right to establish and operate the necessary electronic communications infrastructure for transmission on this frequency.
