On 7 November 2019 the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania (hereinafter referred to as the LR Seimas) appointed Ričardas Slapšys as the vice-chairman of the Radio and Television Commission of Lithuania (hereinafter referred to as the RTCL).

The Resolution of the LR Seimas came into force on 11 November 2019 upon its publication in the Register of Legal Acts.

According to the Law on the Provision of Information to the Public, the LR Seimas, on the joint recommendation of the Committee on Culture, appoints chairman and vice-chairman of the RTCL from the members of the RTCL for a term of four years.

Ričardas Slapšys was appointed as a member of the RTCL by the LR Seimas on 21 March 2017.

The members of the RTCL are appointed for a four-year term and may not serve more than for two consecutive terms.
